⚙ Planning your group visit
Coach parking is conveniently located outside the Heritage Centre entrance, and tour guides will greet your group upon arrival.
As guides travel specifically to conduct tours, please advise us of any change to your booked arrival time by calling 03 6383 1473.
⚙ Centre facilities
Public toilets are located within the Heritage Centre complex, and in Jubilee Park, next to the Heritage Centre entrance.
The park adjacent to the Heritage Centre car park has a barbeque and picnic table with additional picnic tables available in the ‘Miner’s Reserve’ parkland across the road. These are regularly used by groups for morning/afternoon teas or lunch in fine weather.
The Heritage Centre has an extensive gift-shop, with cold drinks available. Food can be purchased from several businesses in Beaconsfield’s main street.
Sections of the Heritage Centre occupy an industrial ruin site, are outdoors and exposed to the elements. During the winter months the Centre can become cold. Please bring clothing appropriate to the season and be prepared for changes in the weather. We recommend covered-in footwear.
⚙ Disability access / Special needs
A drop-off point outside the entrance on West Street allows easy access to the Heritage Centre. The Centre is wheelchair accessible to all but the lower level of the Grubb Shaft Engine House and Native Garden.
An accessible toilet is located within the Centre. Guide dogs and other registered assistance dogs are welcome at the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre.
Specific tours for groups with special needs can be organised. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
